Therapy for high-functioning adults navigating anxiety, overthinking, and relationship patterns
Life doesn’t look or feel the way you wish it did.
You may look capable on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, stuck in self-doubt, or caught in patterns that don’t seem to change. Anxiety, overthinking, or a constant sense of pressure may be taking up more space than you want—at work, in relationships, or within yourself.
Therapy here is not just about getting through the day. It’s about understanding what’s underneath these patterns so you can move through life with more clarity, steadiness, and a genuine sense of alignment.
-
It shows up as constant overthinking, difficulty relaxing, or feeling like your mind won’t turn off. You may replay conversations, question yourself, or feel a steady pressure to keep up and get things right.
Even when things look fine on the outside, it can feel exhausting internally.
Therapy helps you understand what’s driving that anxiety—not just manage it—so you can move through your life with more calm, clarity, and a greater sense of control.
-
You may notice certain triggers, emotional reactions, or patterns—especially in relationships—that don’t quite make sense in the moment.
Even though you’ve moved forward in many ways, parts of those earlier experiences may still be shaping how you feel, respond, or connect.
This work isn’t about reliving everything. It’s about helping your system process what hasn’t fully resolved, so you can feel more grounded, steady, and present in your life now.
-
You may know something needs to change, but find yourself returning to the same patterns—at work, in relationships, or in how you relate to yourself.
There can be a sense of pressure, uncertainty, or frustration that you “should” be able to figure this out, but something isn’t shifting.
Together, we slow things down, understand what’s keeping you stuck, and begin creating a way forward that feels more aligned, steady, and sustainable.
I’m kAREN
I’m really glad you’re here.
I work with adults who are used to holding a great deal together, but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck beneath the surface.
My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in helping you understand what is really driving the patterns you’re experiencing—not just manage them at the surface level.
I integrate evidence-based and body-based approaches to support meaningful, lasting change. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what has felt heavy, confusing, or hard to shift on your own.
I believe change happens when you are able to connect the pieces—your thoughts, emotions, past experiences, and patterns—in a way that finally makes sense. From there, life can begin to feel more clear, steady, and aligned.
How I can help
A deeper, more integrated approach to lasting change
-
The way you think shapes how you experience situations, relationships, and yourself. When anxiety or self-doubt is present, it often shows up in predictable loops—overthinking, second-guessing, or anticipating what might go wrong.
In our work, we identify and understand these patterns, then begin to shift them using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
The goal is not to “think positive,” but to relate to your thoughts differently—so they have less power over how you feel and respond.
-
When your mind is constantly active, it can be difficult to feel settled or present. You may notice yourself reacting quickly—internally or externally—before you’ve had a chance to pause.
Mindfulness-based work helps you build awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and internal experiences without immediately getting pulled into them.
Through simple, practical practices, you begin to create space between what you feel and how you respond—so your reactions become more intentional, steady, and aligned with what matters to you.
-
Stress and past experiences are not only held in your thoughts—they are also held in your body. This can show up as tension, restlessness, shutdown, or a sense that your system is always “on edge.”
Somatic work helps you begin to notice and work with these physical patterns in a supportive, manageable way.
By increasing awareness of your body and nervous system, you can start to regulate your responses, process what hasn’t fully resolved, and feel more grounded in your day-to-day life.
How it works
Life is already demanding. This process doesn’t have to be.
You can schedule a free, confidential consultation using the link below. This is an opportunity to briefly connect, talk through what’s been going on, and see if working together feels like the right fit.
If it does, we’ll schedule your first session and begin building a plan that feels grounded and manageable.
